GRAWL Brawl IV raises more than $2,500 for teen moms

The Greensboro Arm Wrestling League raised more than $2,500 for My Sister Susan’s House at GRAWL Brawl IV: Battle of the Stars on February 4, 2017.

In this epic battle for nerd superiority, Dr. Beverly Crush-HER took home top honors for besting her arm wrestling opponents. This first-time wrestler also earned the most money for our beneficiary, a program of the nonprofit Youth Focus that serves woman aged 16-21 who are homeless and pregnant or parenting, and who need some help becoming independent.

Our celebrity judges — News & Record columnist Susan Ladd, world champion body painters Scott Fray and Madelyn Greco and WFMY Good Morning Show anchor Lauren Melvin — honored first-time wrestler Dark Slayer with the best dressed prize.

The brawl also featured lady arm wrestlers Han Yolo, Chewbecki, Ewok Princess Wickette, Vulcan Priestess K’Pau, and Captain Painway. Boba Fetish PSYCHO Therapist wrestled on behalf of My Sister Susan’s House.
