The Greensboro Arm Wrestling League (GRAWL) is now accepting applications from nonprofits that would like to be the beneficiary of one of our 2020 events. The deadline to submit an application is September 30. Beneficiaries will be notified in October.
GRAWL brawls raise between $2,500 to $5,500 for our nonprofit partners. An ideal partner would be a Greensboro organization that serves woman or girls or is run by women, although we are open to working with local nonprofit with a progressive missions that serve marginalized people, including immigrants and the LGBTQ community. Our most successful events are those where the beneficiary is an active participant, promoting the event and engaging their existing audience.
Our amazing volunteers run the event — all our beneficiary must do help us promote the brawl and provide one woman who will arm wrestle. No arm wrestling experience is necessary. Woman of all physical abilities and transgender women are always welcome.
Our tentative 2020 event dates are March 7, May 16, and October 10.
