The Greensboro Arm Wrestling League is pleased to announced its October 12 event, GRAWL Brawl XII: Country Queens, at Gibbs Hundred Brewing, will benefit She ROCKS the Triad, a nonprofit working to fight ovarian cancer. Tickets can be purchased online now.
She ROCKS (Research Ovarian Cancer Knowledge Support) the Triad is a recently-formed local affiliate of this Wilminnton-based nonprofit. It helps to raise money to aid ovarian cancer research. The cancer currently has no early diagnostic test, and many women don’t know they have it until it is very advanced.
She ROCKS also brings awareness to this often symptom-less illness and provides support and information to local woman facing the disease.
