On Saturday, October 12, the Greensboro Arm Wrestling League raised more than $6,500 for She ROCKS the Triad, breaking the league record for most money raised in a single event. Since it’s inception, GRAWL has raised more then $44,000 for local nonprofits.
Long-time wrestler Reba SmackEntire took home the Best Dressed Trophy and the arm wrestling prize. First-time wrestler Johnny Smash earned the Audience Favorite prize for raising more $918, making her GRAWL’s 2019 Season MVP.
The fundraising across the wrestler lineup was impressive, with Carrie U. Under, She Denia Pain, Natalie Campaigns and Reba each raising more than $500 each.
All funds raised go directly to support She ROCKS the Triad, as it seeks to educate local women about the dangers of ovarian cancer and raising money for early detection research.
